Welcome to the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Ocean County College. Here, students have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in the exciting and rapidly-evolving STEM fields. We offer a wide variety of classes, including computer science classes, IT classes and Chemistry classes. Earn your associate’s degree in science with key majors such as biology, chemistry, and physics. Highly qualified faculty and staff provide students with cutting edge curriculum in a supportive and dynamic environment. STEM values, developed by the faculty, set clear expectations and ensure that each individual student is given the resources necessary to reach their full potential.

Because OCC understands that accessibility is important for students who are pursuing academic and career goals, the School of STEM offers a range of classes on OCC’s Toms River campus, Southern Education Center and MATES, at night in various off campus locations in area high schools throughout the county, and to high school students during their daily high school schedules.

We recognize the need to introduce middle and high school students to the many opportunities available through studying STEM, and our dedicated faculty and staff organize and participate in several events during the academic year for high school aged students: STEM Academy, TECH Prep and the Junior Science & Humanities Symposia.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are areas of study that are challenging and exciting, allowing students to be immersed in new ideas and infinite possibilities. If you have questions or would like further information about the School of STEM. Please feel free to contact me or any member of the School of STEM.
